Remedial action continues in PG

A property in downtown Prince George located at 231-233 George Street will be the subject to Remedial action starting tomorrow (Thu).

Mayor, Lyn Hall says the downtown core will not be the only focus for the city when it comes to remedial action.

“We want to make sure in the downtown area we are looking at these health and safety concerns. We will not confine remedial action to this part of the city.”

The cost of the work is estimated at 72 thousand dollars but will be recovered via the owner’s property taxes.

It will include the removal of hazardous material and debris.

Hall adds clean-up efforts continue to progress at the Lombardy Trailer Park since that property was subject to the same process by council.
