Vanderhoof will be transformed into a Halloween paradise for the 16th annual Pumpkin Walk!
More than 500 pumpkins have already been handed out for carving, and plenty of other decorations will adorn Riverside Park on October 31st.
Before Fireworks start at 8pm, people can enjoy the festive atmosphere, trick-or-treat at different campsites, and warm up their chilly hands with free hot chocolate.
Chamber of Commerce Executive Assistant Chelsay Christian says this is something she looks forward to every year.
“Looking at all the campsites and what they’ve done for decorations is awesome… Especially the pumpkins themselves. On the walk you get to see all the different carvings, and some people really come up with just the neatest stuff.”
High school students will be carving the pumpkins prior to the event.
Businesses have also volunteered their nights to decorate their respective sites, and stock up on candy.
“They do so much. Last year they just had the neatest stuff, and I am so excited to see them this year,” says Christian, “Every campsite is so different, and it’s so cool for the kids. It’s like a whole different world.”
The Pumpkin Walk opens at 5 pm on the 31st.
