Vanderhoof Jr. runners lead the way

Nechako Valley of Vanderhoof won both the Jr. Boys and Jr. Girls team titles at the 35th annual high school X-Country Zone running championships in Dawson Creek. Correlieu of Quesnel came first in the Sr. Boys and Sr. Girls team results. The Nechako Valley Sr. Girls placed second. The top runners from the meet have qualified for the Provincials November 7th in Vancouver.

–Host College Heights won the Spooktacular Jr. Boys volleyball tournament defeating DP Todd 25-22, 25-21 in the final. Kelly Road placed 3rd following a 14-25, 25-12, 15-11 victory over Cedars Christian in the bronze medal match. 8 teams competed.

–In exhibition Canada West basketball in Alberta, the UNBC men went 0-2 losing 95-46 to the Alberta Golden Bears and 83-56 to the Lethbridge Pronghorns. Both UNBC basketball teams start their regular season at home Nov 6 and 7 against TRU.
