Home invasion leads to arrests in Quesnel

Quesnel RCMP say two suspects are in custody in connection with a home invasion.

Police say they were called to a rural property on West Fraser Road on Sunday afternoon just before 1:30.

It was approximately 10 kilometers south of Quesnel.

RCMP say two men produced handguns and entered the residence threatening and assaulting the victim.

Police say a firearm was discharged inside the residence during the encounter, but the victim was not shot.

35-year old Eric Joseph Heidemann and 58-year old Jerry Douglas Clement are now in custody and have been charged with several offences, including pointing a firearm, possession of a handgun for dangerous purpose, forcible confinement, assault and uttering threats.

RCMP say the suspects and the victim were known to each other.
