The Dome Mountain Gold Project is poised to start mining for gold as early as July.
On February 6th, Blue Lagoon Resources announced it had received the final permits from the Ministry of Mining and Critical Minerals and the Ministry of Environment and Parks.
“It is incredibly rare for a junior mining company to evolve from pure exploration into production, and today, we proudly stand on the brink of that transformation,” said President and CEO of Blue Lagoon Resources Rana Vig.
The project is located about 66 kilometers east of Smithers and expects to pull 15,000 ounces of gold annually.
In 2021, Blue Lagoon partnered with Nicola Mining who will process the materials at their facility in Merrit.
The project is now finalizing the site which includes installing a water treatment facility expected to be completed in the next three months.
