UNBC named a top employer in BC for 11th time

For the 11th time, UNBC is one the the top employers in BC according to Mediacorp.

“As a University that keeps students top of mind in every decision we make, UNBC faculty and staff go to extraordinary lengths in supporting how we offer an exceptional post-secondary experience,” said UNBC President Dr. Geoff Payne.

“The diverse perspectives of our faculty and staff enrich that experience; earning this recognition once again as a top employer in BC highlights the ongoing commitment of our outstanding community.”

The competition’s editors consider eight criteria, including the physical workplace, work atmosphere, health and family benefits, vacation policies, employee communications, performance management, training and skills development, and community involvement.

This week is also UNBC’s annual Employee Recognition Week, which features initiatives such as the Employee Recognition Event that celebrates employees reaching significant service milestones, as well as those who have earned President’s Staff awards for service excellence, creative initiative, and leadership.
