A 28-year-old man charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily during an altercation at the PG Regional Correctional Centre in December of 2023 will learn his fate next month.
According to the BC Prosecution Service, Michael Campbell-Alexander pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose in Prince George at the end of November.
He will be sentenced on February 11th.
Campbell-Alexander is also awaiting sentencing in relation to several weapons charges dating back to a July 2022 incident on Central Street East in Prince George.
Campbell-Alexander is no stranger to local Mounties as he was involved in a 2017 shooting along the 2000 block of Tamarack Street.
He was also part of a 2015 home invasion in the Blackburn area as well as a 2016 liquor store robbery on Ferry Avenue.
