The triple-a U18 Cariboo Cougars enter the Christmas Break with a 17-3-1-1 record, top spot by a single point over the Valley West Giants (17-5-0-1).
Cariboo leaves for the Circle K Classic tournament in Calgary, which begins on the 27th against Sioux Falls from the Max Bell Arena at 9am Pacific.

The Prince George Spruce Kings (9-15-2-1) are back in action Saturday at 6pp and Sunday at 3pm when they host the Nanaimo Clippers (10-15-2-0) from the Kopar Memorial Arena.
WHL:
The Prince George Cougars begin their post-Christmas schedule Friday and Saturday against the Victoria Royals in the provincial capital.
PG (18-9-3-2) is two points up on the Royals (17-10-3-2) for the BC Division lead.
World Juniors:
Canada’s first game at the World Junior Hockey Championship in Ottawa, Ontario is on Boxing Day against Finland.
McBride’s Tanner Molendyk of the Saskatoon Blades is on Team Canada.

Canada’s opening action at the Spengler Cup is on Boxing Day against host HC Davos in Switzerland.
