More than 52 lane kilometres of roads rehabilitated in PG this year

The City of Prince George rehabilitated 52.25 lane kilometres of roads this year, according to a report presented to City Council at this week’s meeting.

For the 2024 Capital Budget, City Council approved a road rehabilitation budget of $6.7 million dollars.

Additionally, a budget of $1.5 million was allocated to sidewalk rehabilitation, with 2,314 metres of concrete sidewalks rehabilitated, and 3,244 metres of asphalt sidewalk rehabilitated.

$420,000 was also allocated for new sidewalks, with 845 metres of new concrete sidewalk completed.

A full list of road and sidewalk projects completed in 2024 is available in the staff report to council.
