PG Community Foundation awards Community Impact Grants

Five organizations received a share of the Prince George Community Foundation’s Community Impact Grant.

The grant supports initiatives that not only address immediate challenges but also promote sustainable solutions that will continue to benefit residents for years to come.

In total, $94,434 has been awarded through the grant.

Scouts Canada is receiving $10,000 for the kitchen restoration and renewal project at Camp Hughes.

The Canadian Red Cross of Prince George is receiving $10,000 to purchase 55 four-wheeled walkers for clients who need them through their HELP loan program.

The Prince George Conservatory of Music is receiving $35,000 to purchase a new grand piano to be used by students.

The Exploration Place is receiving $10,000 for the new Children STEAM Gallery, a new permanent exhibit designed to immerse young learners in hands-on exploration of foundational science concepts.

The Pacific Autism Family Network is receiving $29,434 to purchase a new inclusive playground for the centre.
