Snowfall warning continues for Prince George area

A winter storm sweeping through much of northern BC including Prince George is sticking around until tomorrow (Friday).

The Snowfall Warning includes Bulkley Valley, Williston, Stuart – Nechako, Prince George, McGregor, Cariboo, Pine Pass, Yellowhead and Yellowhead Highway – Tête Jaune Cache to the Alberta Border.

Upwards of 15 to 25 centimetres is expected to fall.

A series of upper disturbances combining with cold arctic air continues to bring snow to parts of the northern and central BC interior today to Friday afternoon.

The first disturbance continues today and brings snow to the region. A stronger second impulse is forecast to start this evening, intensifying snowfall through overnight hours. Snow is expected to ease by Friday afternoon.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
