A big weekend against a division rival led to Canada West Player of the Week honours for Sveta Boykova.
Boykova played a huge role in back-to-back comeback home victories last weekend against the UBC Okanagan Heat.
On Friday night, the Russian supplied 16 points along with 13 rebounds. seven assists, a block and three steals in a 64-55 victory.
The next night, Boykova’s stat line was nearly identical – which included a 20-point effort in a thrilling 68-67 win.
Boykova’s four-year tenure at UNBC sits her near the top of the school record books with 745 regular season points placing her fifth all-time in program history while her 706 career rebounds sit third.
UNBC is off until the New Year when they kick off 2025 with a pair of road games against Fraser Valley and UBC.
