Those still deciding to purchase a ticket for the 2024 Hospice Dream Home lottery have only 11 days to do so.
12,276 tickets have been sold, and 2,700 remain, with 100 percent of the revenue going into the Rotary Hospice House.
Executive Director, Donna Flood says the last amount of tickets is what supports the work they do.
“This is where it’s really urgent for people to get out and buy their tickets. 40 percent of our funding comes from this lotto so, we really rely on the community getting out there and buying a ticket, and in return, we give one lucky person a beautiful home to move into by Christmas.”
Flood says they’re only partially funded by Northern Health to provide the care in the house, with the lotto money raised being dedicated to those that go to the home.
The draw for the $940,000 Dream Home will take place on December 3rd, with ticket information on their website here.
