Stroet steps down from PG Community Foundation

Mindy Stroet has stepped down as the Director of Development for the Prince George Community Foundation (PGCF).

The PGCF announced yesterday (Saturday) she has resigned from her role to take on a new position at UNBC.

Stroet served in her role as the Director of Development and as Co-Leader of the Foundation for the past seven years.

“It has been an absolute honor to be part of the Prince George Community Foundation and the Community Foundation movement,” she said.

“I am so proud of the work of the Foundation over the last seven years and look forward to cheering them on from the sidelines in the years to come.”

“Mindy has been an outstanding and highly successful Director of Development, playing a pivotal role in leading the Prince George Community Foundation’s fundraising efforts, overseeing grant disbursements, and driving program development,” said PGCF Board President Zahid Islam.

“Thanks to Mindy’s leadership and dedication, the PGCF has continued to grow and thrive over the past seven years, building on its strong foundation. I am incredibly proud of the progress we have made during her tenure.”

According to the PGCF, future hiring will be announced in the coming days.

$250,000 damage following fire on Pacific Street

Prince George Fire Rescue crews responded to a commercial structure fire in the 1000 block of Pacific Street yesterday morning (Sunday) at approximately 5:40.

Williams Lake RCMP investigating fatal crash

Just after 5pm on Saturday (July 12th), North District Corporal Madonna Saunderson said the Williams Lake RCMP received a report of the incident on Highway 97 at Mountain House Road.
