There are only five days left to nominate new inductees for the Prince George Sports Hall of Fame!
The Hall of Fame currently boasts 75 members, but because of the bi-annual format, there are also many carry-over nominations from last year.
Director Kathy Mears says most nominations come within the last few days every year, and people can contact the Hall of Fame to learn more about criteria and how to make a nomination ahead of the September 30 deadline.
“Without the help of the public and the sports groups themselves in putting forward the nominations for well deserving athletes, coaches, volunteers, and officials, it’s very difficult for us to make sure they receive the recognition they deserve,” explained Mears.
12 Student-athletes will be honoured at this year’s induction ceremony, though a date hasn’t been set yet.
