Cougars Carels to play for Canada at World U17 Challenge

Carson Carels has only been in the Western Hockey League for less than a month and is already turning heads at the national level.

The 16-year-old from Cypress River, Manitoba was one of 15 WHL players selected to play in the World U17 Challenge taking place November 3-9 in Sarnia, Ontario.

Carels will suit up for Team Canada Red. Through the first nine games, Carels has seven assists with the Cougars.

Canada Red’s first game will be against Finland.
