Watermain work set to recommence on Ontario Street

The City of Prince George says work is set to restart on the Ontario watermain replacement and upgrade work next week.

The work will start on Tuesday (October 1st), and is expected to take two weeks.

During this time, road closures will be in place between Fourth Avenue and Lower Patricia.

The work is part of the $1 million Watermain Replacement Program.

The section of the watermain between Second and Third Avenue was completed last summer.

According to the City, impacted businesses have been notified of the work, including any water outages.

The City says pedestrian access will be maintained during the construction, but they’re asking people to exercise caution in and around the work zone, and play attention to signage and directions from the construction crew.
