Prince George firefighters battle yet another blaze at Moccasin Flats

For the third time in just over a week, Prince George Fire Rescue was called to the Lower Patricia encampment near 5th Avenue and Ottawa Street.

On arrival yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon around 2:40 at Moccasin Flats, firefighters found a small outbuilding fully engulfed in flames.

According to the City of Prince George, crews put out the blaze in an hour with no reported injures and damage estimated at $2,500.

The cause of fire has not yet been determined and remains under investigation.

On Thursday and Tuesday of last week, P.G. firefighters put out a series of structure fires in the same area with an estimated damage of $4,000 on September 19th and $2,000 on September 17th.
