A four vehicle crash involving two semi-trailer trucks snarled traffic along Highway 97 north according to the Prince George RCMP.
It happened just after 6am yesterday (Tuesday), as Mounties responded to the crash along the highway, near the Davie East Forest Service Road.
When police officers arrived, they discovered that a semi-trailer truck in the southbound lane crossed the centre line and collided with a second semi-trailer truck.
A pickup truck also traveling southbound was hit by the northbound semi-trailer truck and ended up in the ditch. Another pickup truck, traveling northbound, was hit by debris from the incident.
“Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported in this incident. The two semi-trailer trucks and the first pickup truck were all towed from the scene and the highway was limited to single lane alternating traffic for several hours as investigators collected data and dealt with the damaged vehicles,” stated Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.
The driver of the southbound semi-trailer truck was issued a violation ticket for driving without due care and attention.
This investigation is now concluded.
