WHL:

The City of Prince George and PG Cougars have signed a new four-year license agreement for the CN Centre.

The previous agreement between the City and EDGEPRO Sports and Entertainment Ltd. (the owners of the Cougars) expired on July 31st, and the new agreement extends through 2028, with an option to extend for an additional four years.

Under the agreement, the City will receive an annual flat fee for ticket sales and commissions on additional ticket sales, food, and beverage revenue.

The Cougars start their regular season with a home doubleheader against the Spokane Chiefs on Friday and Saturday.

The Cats will be missing several of their top players who are at NHL camps.

BCHL: 

The Prince George Spruce Kings start their regular season with three road games in as many days.

The Spruce Kings visit Surrey Friday night at 7:00, Chilliwack Saturday night at 6:00 and Langley Sunday afternoon at 2:30.

NFL: (Final game in Week 2)

Atlanta Falcons  22  Philadelphia Eagles  21

Kirk Cousins tossed a 7-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Drake London with 34 seconds left in the game to give the Falcons the come-from-behind victory.

Canada West Soccer:

The (1-3) UNBC Timberwolves women’s soccer team will host the (1-3) Fraser Valley Cascades Friday night at 6:00 and the (2-0-2) Trinity Western Spartans Sunday at noon.

The (0-6-2) UNBC men visit the (2-1-4) Mount Royal Cougars Friday (4 PM PT) and the
(2-5) Saskatchewan Huskies (11 AM).

MLB:

The (72-78) Toronto Blue Jays, with just 12 games left in their season, start a 6-game road trip tonight (Tuesday 5:05) against the (71-79) Texas Rangers.

The (77-73) Seattle Mariners continue a 9-game homestand tonight (6:40) against the (87-63) New York Yankees, who lead the A.L. East.

Seattle is in second place in the AL West, 4 games behind the (81-69) Houston Astros.

BC Football Conference:

The Prince George Kodiaks have the bye this weekend in the B.C. Football Conference.

The (1-7) Kodiaks conclude their third season in the BCFC with a home and home against the (1-6) Kamloops Broncos: Saturday, September 28th at 6pm at Masich Place Stadium and Saturday, October 5th at 6pm in Kamloops.

CFL:

Week 16 of the CFL season begins with a Friday night doubleheader: (4-9) Hamilton at
(7-6) Toronto (4:00) followed by (5-7-1) Saskatchewan at (4-8-1) Calgary (6:30).

The (7-7) BC Lions are off until Friday, September 27th at 7:30 PM when they host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

The Lions are tied with the (7-6) Winnipeg Blue Bombers for top spot in the West Division, however, Winnipeg has five games left and BC has just four remaining.

The Blue Bombers visit the Edmonton Elks Saturday at 4 pm.
