Sean Wadelius of the Fort St. James RCMP was given a special honour in Prince George today.
He received his 25 year Bronze Clasp at the 2015 North District RCMP awards ceremony.
Wadelius says he’s pleased to share this accomplishment with another member from their days in Manitoba.
“Susan Boyes is from the same home-town as me and I remember when I left The Pas I would have a decent career and it has just gone by.”
Wadelius says he’s living the dream of being a Mountie.
“As a kid growing up this is what I wanted to do and all of the experiences, the people I have met and hopefully the differences I have made in peoples lives is all part of the experience.”
Wadelius also spent time in Regina as a Defensive Tactics Instructor before heading to Chilliwack.
Other North District members who work in Prince George were also honoured.
They are Civilian Member and Team Leader Rita Dreher, North District Senior Investigative Officer of Major Crimes Inspector Royce Roenspies and PG Dog Service Leader Corporal Colin Warwick.
