World Men’s Fastpitch Championship (in Surrey)
The Prince George River Kings had a win and four losses after five games at the 2024 International Softball Congress World Men’s Fastpitch Championship in Surrey.

The Vanderhoof Rippers had a victory on the field, two forfeit wins and four losses following play on Wednesday.

CFL:
Quarterback Nathan Rourke is expected to be in the B.C. Lions starting lineup when they host the (3-6) Winnipeg Blue Bombers Sunday at 4 PM.
Rourke was at practice Wednesday after he signed a three-year deal with the (5-4) Lions which according to reports will make him the highest paid player in the CFL, earning more than $600,000 per season in both 2025 and 2026.
The 26-year-old from Victoria has been released by four NFL teams over the last year.

The Prince George Kodiaks head to Kelowna this week as they try to snap a three-game losing streak in the BC Football Conference.
The (1-3) Kodiaks visit the first place (4-0) Okanagan Sun Saturday night at 7:00 before hosting the last place (0-3) Kamloops Broncos Saturday, August 24th at 6 PM.
