Four arrested after shots fired in late night home invasion

Shots were fired at a home invasion and robbery in Prince George last night.

The RCMP received a report of the incident in a home on Lalonde Road at around 12:30 am.

Four suspects and the lone victim had both fled the house in separate vehicles.

The suspect’s car would not stop for the police on 15th Avenue – it later crashed at the intersection of 15th and Alward Street.

One of the four suspects was arrested after the crash, the other three ran on foot and were caught soon after.

The four suspects were 21, 22, 23, and 49 years old, none of them live in Prince George and each has known ties to organized crime.

While they do not currently have a motive, the RCMP think this crime was targeted.

Shortly after the suspects were arrested, a gun that police think was related to the home invasion was found near 15th Avenue and Foothills.

All four suspects are still in custody “pending an extensive investigation,” and the lone victim was not injured.

Investigators are asking anyone with dashcam or security footage from midnight to 1:30 last night from Lalonde Road, 15th Avenue, Ospika Boulevard, and University Way to contact them.
