Although Prince George came close, it was not one of 16 communities in B.C. to set an unofficial maximum temperature record for July 17th.
According to Environment Canada, places that set a new high included: Burns Lake (32.8), Mackenzie (34.4), Chetwynd (35.1), Dawson Creek (34.4), and Williams Lake (33.1).
P.G. hit just over 33 degrees yesterday (Wednesday) and it may even be a degree warmer this afternoon.
