Hockey:
Don Nachbaur is back in the WHL.
The Prince George Sports Hall of Fame member has been hired as the head coach of the Wenatchee Wild.
The 65-year-old Nachbaur is the third-winningest head coach in WHL history.
He spent the last three seasons as an assistant coach in the AHL.

Paralympics:
Joel Ewert of Prince George will be representing his country at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games which will be held August 28th to September 8th.
The 24-year-old Ewert is one of 12 athletes selected to Canada’s Men’s Wheelchair Rugby Team.
He will be one of three players on the team making their Paralympic debut.

The loss ended the Alouettes club-record 13-game winning streak, including playoffs and the Grey Cup.
Montreal also lost QB Cody Fajardo with an injury.
The Als are 5-1 while the Argos sit 3-2.

16 teams, including the host Prince George Panthers, are competing at the U15C Provincial Minor Girls Softball Championship.

The Devils lead the best-of-5 playoff final 2-0 with Game 3 Monday night at 8 at the Kopar Memorial Arena. They won the opener 13-4.
Golf:
Former Smithers resident Wyatt Brook of Heffley Creek (which is near Kamloops) is in 3rd place, four strokes off the lead after three rounds of the 122nd B.C. men’s amateur golf tournament at the Ledgeview Golf Club in Abbotsford.
The leader is Cooper Humphreys of Vernon at 9-under-201 followed by James Fahy of Vancouver, at 8-under-202 and then Brook at 5-under-205.
The four Prince George golfers in the field of 159 all missed the 36-hole cut,

Copa America
Canada will play Uruguay in the third place game Saturday night at 5:00 in Charlotte.
The final on Sunday night at 5:00 will feature Colombia against Argentina in Miami.
