Wild hiring sends PG’s Nachbaur to Wenatchee

Don Nachbaur of Prince George has been named as head coach of the Wenatchee Wild of the WHL.

The 65-year-old Nachbaur, who has been inducted into the Prince George Sports Hall of Fame, is the third-winningest head coach in WHL history.

He has 692 victories over 19 seasons of head coaching experience with the Seattle Thunderbirds, Tri-City Americans and Spokane Chiefs.

Nachbaur spent the last three seasons in the Calgary Flames organization, serving as an AHL assistant coach with the Calgary Wranglers, and previously the Stockton Heat.
