Shortly before 4pm Wednesday afternoon, Prince George Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a boat on fire at a house on McCullagh Avenue.
After arriving on scene, crews discovered that a large boat in the driveway was not the source of the fire.
“Upon arrival they actually found a shed behind the boat that was on fire.” Assistant Fire Chief John Heaslip explained.
Following the discovery, they called in a second crew to help combat the fire.
“They went in as attack and were able to knock the shed fire down to a smoldering stage” said Heaslip.
No one was injured in the incident. Heaslip noted it is still unclear what caused the fire in the first place.
