Climate Action Tax Credit funds on the way for BC residents

There may be more money in BC residents’ bank accounts this week through the Climate Action Tax Credit.

Payments started to arrive in bank accounts through direct deposit from the Canada Revenue Agency on Friday.

The BC Government says people are seeing bigger payments this year.

For example, a family of four who received $890 last tax year will see payments increase to $1,005 a year, and individuals who received $447 will now receive $504.

Approximately 65 per cent of people in BC receive money through the tax credit, with the goal of 80 per cent of people receiving it by 2030.
