NBA:

Boston Celtics  106  Dallas Mavericks  88

The Celtics won the championship series 4-1 for their record-setting 18th NBA title, one more than the LA Lakers.

Jayson Tatum scored 31 points and added 8 rebounds and 11 assists while his teammate, Finals MVP Jaylen Brown, added 21 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the Celtics who built up a 67-46 halftime lead.

The Celtics won the first three games by scores of 107-89, 105-98 and 106-99 before the Mavericks extended the series by winning Game 4 by a 122-84 score.

NHL:

The Stanley Cup Final resumes tonight (Tuesday 5:15) with the Florida Panthers having an opportunity to win their first championship on home ice.

The Panthers enjoy a 3-1 series lead over the Edmonton Oilers.

The Oilers will try to become the first road team to win Game 5 after trailing 3-0 in the Final series.

(The Oilers scored a convincing 8-1 victory in Game 4 on Saturday. Earlier in the series: Florida won Game 3 by a 4-3 score, Game 2 by a 4-1 margin and the opener 3-0).

PG Cougars:

The 2024 NHL Draft will be held in Las Vegas on Friday, June 28th (starting at 4:30 PM) and Saturday the 29th (beginning at 8:30 AM).

Sniper Terik Parascak of the Prince George Cougars is rated 15th among North American skaters in the Central Scouting final rankings.

His teammates Ondrej Becher and Hunter Laing are listed 69th and 86th respectively.
