PG line painting, pothole operations in full swing

The City of Prince George has filled 450 potholes this spring with over 215 service requests being filed.

Manager of Roads and Fleet, Jordan Wiseman told MyPGNow.com crews wasted little time fixing our streets.

“We have an annual budget that we utilize and anything that comes in from a service request staff will jump on immediately and anything we identify in our inspections and now with capital paving underway we can kind of piggy-back off that.”

Jordan Wiseman explained which areas they tend to focus on the most.

“The higher speed, higher volumes are always a point of concern for us. We keep an eye on them but the capital investment has started to pay dividends as I have said in the past so we are making strides forward but there is always room for improvement.”

As for line painting, Wiseman added after an early start, operations slowed down a little due to the rain – they are 65 to 70% done with expectation that all painting will wrap up this month.
