For the second time this season, Prince George Cougars winger Hunter Laing has been named WHL Rookie of the Week.
Laing scored his first playoff goal on Thursday to give the Cougars a 3-1 lead in the second period of Game 5 of the Western Conference Championship against the Portland Winterhawks.
The Cougars went on to win the game 6-1 in Portland.
The 6-foot-6, 192-pound Lang is ranked 86th among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting in the agency’s final rankings ahead of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.
