The 6th annual Punjabi Canadian Senior Society Bike-a-thon is taking place in September.
Melissa Veregin is with the Spirit of the North Healthcare foundation and says money raised will support the purchase of state of the art OptosOCT, and California UWF machines that deal with retinal diseases:
“It specializes in measuring and recording the progression of retinal diseases and the effects of today’s new and emerging therapies. It is needed for many diseases and conditions of the eye.”
Last years event was the biggest ever, with around $15,000 raised.
It all takes place starting at 7 am on Saturday, September the 12th, where participating cyclists will head to Purden Lake for a picnic before heading back to PG.
