The Pineview Summer Festival is making the most out of the last few weeks of August!
Denise Meise says the event is still a pretty new thing.
“This is only our second attempt at this. We’ve always done a winter festival, and we’ve done that for about forty years now, but we thought the summer one would be fun to do.”
A slo-pitch and volleyball tournament kicked off the festivities on Saturday, but the bulk of family activities are running Sunday at the Pineview Hall.
“We have a mechanical bull this year for everyone to come out and try their skills at, we’ve got the dunk tank, all the inflatable houses for the kids, a fish tank, ring toss, all those fun games, and everything is only a 25 cent ticket.”
Saturday night festivities also featured a pork roast dinner and a dance featuring Rick Stavely.
The Summer Festival runs until 4pm on Sunday.
