The provincial government is giving three schools in Prince George $1.3 million for upgrades.
The money will be split between Ecole Lac Des Bois for interior construction upgrades, Beaverly Elementary for a carbon-neutral capture program, and PGSS for a food delivery vehicle.
The money is part of a $291.9 million investment into school maintenance projects around the province.
In the Vanderhoof area, the Nechako Lakes School District (SD91) is also receiving $1.35 million.
That money will go to numerous upgrades at Mapes Elementary, David Hoy Elementary, Mouse Mountain Elementary, Evelyn Dickson Elementary, Fraser Lake Elem-Secondary, Nechako Valley Secondary, and Fort St James Secondary – as well as four new busses.
According to the province, $4 billion has been invested into new and improved schools since 2017.
