WHL:
The Prince George Cougars host the (29-27-4) Vancouver Giants Friday night at 7:00 and Saturday night at 6:00 before playing five straight games on the road.
P.G. will end its regular season on Saturday, March 23rd against the Kamloops Blazers on Retro Night with a Mega 50/50 jackpot to begin at $50,000.
Proceeds go to the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation.
The (41-15-1-3) Cougars are riding an 11-game point streak and lead the Western Conference by one point over the (41-15-2-1) Portland Winterhawks.
The Winterhawks have a game in hand which they will make up tonight (Wednesday) against the last-place Blazers in Kamloops.

BCHL:
The Prince George Spruce Kings hit the road this week.
They visit the Trail Smoke Eaters on Friday and the West Kelowna Warriors on Saturday.
With eight games left in the regular season, the (14-29-3) Spruce Kings are last in the 8-team Interior Division, nine points behind the (19-25-2) Cranbrook Bucks who are in 7th.

BC Elite Hockey League:
The playoffs are coming up for the U18 Cariboo Cougars who host the Vancouver North West Hawks at Kin 1.
Games in the best-of-three quarterfinals are scheduled for Friday afternoon at 3:45, Saturday afternoon at 2:00 and if necessary Sunday morning at 11:45.
The (26-8-2) U18 Cougars finished the regular season 3rd in the 9-team BC Elite Hockey league while the (13-20-0-3) Hawks were in 6th place.

Para Biathlon:
The Para Biathlon World Championships begin today (Wednesday) at the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club.
185 athletes from 20 countries will participate over the 12 days of competition.

High School Basketball:
The BC School Sports Boys Basketball Provincial Championships tip off today (Wednesday) and continue through Saturday at the Langley Events Centre.
The 64 teams, divided into four championship tournaments, will play 128 games over the four days.
Cedars Christian, Fort St James and McBride compete in 1A.
Nechako Valley is entered in 2A.
College Heights participates in 3A.
PGSS is taking part in 4A.

There are no unbeaten teams left at the 2024 Montana’s Brier in Regina.
B.C. (Catlin Schneider) is 3-3 after six games.
Two-time defending champion Brad Gushue (Canada from St. John’s, Newfoundland) is 4-2.
The eight-game round-robin continues today with the top three teams in each of the two pools advancing to the playoffs.
The final will be played on Sunday with the winner to represent Canada at the 2024 World Men’s Curling Championship on March 30-April 7 in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.
