Open burning restrictions have been lifted.
The Prince George Fire Centre is once again permitting any controlled burning activities in the region as of noon today.
Wetter, cooler conditions have prompted the move. As the wildfire risk has been lowered to a sufficient level to allow any burning.
The PG Fire Centre asks that before you begin any brush clearing or burning, contact your local fire department.
They also remind everyone not burn in windy conditions, and to create a fire guard at least one metre around any planned fire site with plenty of water and manpower on hand.
