Caledonia Nordic Ski Club to be presenting sponsors of world Nordic events

The Caledonia Nordic Ski Club will be the presenting sponsor for the upcoming 2024 Para Biathlon World Championships and the Para Nordic World Cup Finals.

The Club has contributed a significant $150,000 towards capital infrastructure improvements, and will provide volunteer support and the use of its facilities.

“The involvement of Caledonia Nordic Ski Club as the Presenting Sponsor is a game-changer,” said Chair of the Local Organizing Committee, Kevin Pettersen.

“Their remarkable contribution and volunteer support are pivotal in transforming these championships into a global showcase. This partnership not only elevates our club on the international stage but also brings lasting legacies to our community and region, such as enhanced snowmaking and accessibility improvements.”

“Our club has always been at the forefront of promoting Nordic sports,” said Caledonia Nordic Ski Club Board President Lanita Horning.

“Hosting the 2024 World Championships and stepping up as the Presenting Sponsor is a proud moment for us. It reflects our commitment to offering a world-class facility and inclusive sporting environment.”

The two world events will welcome more than 120 athletes from around 20 nations to the Prince George area.
