Prince George residents can learn a little more about recycling at the BC Northern Exhibition next week.
The BC Recycles Summer Ambassador Tour will be making a stop in the city from August 12th to 16th.
Ambassador, Sarah Pratt says when it comes to recycling it’s all about convenience.
“People want something that’s convenient, something that is going to help the planet and be responsible, so we are just trying to make that connection between recycle centres in Prince George and across BC.”
Pratt adds they will also be promoting an on-line tool.
“When they use the Recyclepedia app when they visit our website at BC recycles you can find the closest location to drop off oils, tires, medications, paints, containers and batteries, it’s all about convenience.”
A lot of people are unaware these products can be recycled since a lot of stores are now incorporating their own recycling program.
