November was another abysmal month for building permit numbers in Prince George.
According to a report that will go before Prince George City Council at tomorrow’s (Monday meeting), just 16 permits worth a combined total of $1.9 million were issued last month.
Included in those numbers were two new single-family dwellings, worth a combined $1.1 million.
In November 2022, 32 permits were issued with a combined value of $12.85 million.
2023 has been a down year for building permit numbers in Prince George when compared to last year’s record numbers.
As of the end of November, a total of 374 permits have been issued worth a combined total of $149.9 million.
This includes 64 new single-family dwellings, 25 new multi-family dwellings, and 23 new duplexes.
At the same time last year, 471 permits worth a combined total of $248.6 million were issued in 2022.
Other items to be discussed at tomorrow’s meeting include a corporate work plan update and a summary of the Civic Core District Plan consultation.
