A water main system valve replacement will shut down part of the intersection of Ospika Boulevard and 5th Avenue tomorrow. (Wednesday)
Traffic heading North through the intersection on Ospika will be detoured, while southbound traffic will be open.
The detours are expected to be in place from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m..
There will also be no pedestrian access to the northside intersection crossing during construction.
The water system valve was installed in 1962 and is leaking, causing ice and slippery conditions at the intersection.
🚧 5th Ave & Ospika Blvd closed Nov. 29, 2023 🚧
All traffic heading north will be detoured from the intersection. Southbound traffic (heading down Ospika towards 15th Ave.) will be open. More details: https://t.co/0EyM9530WG pic.twitter.com/fURyQIbrf7
