A group of Prince George residents are hoping to ruffle some feathers at city hall.
The group Poultry for Prince George is wanting to start a pilot project that would see families in the city own a small group of hens in their backyard.
Volunteer Jillian Merrick says to do the project they need to get it approved by council.
She says current bylaws don’t permit agricultural uses in the city.
Merrick says the group’s pilot program going would see around 20 families owning backyard chickens.
