June housing starts see Multi-Family units rise

Housing starts in PG appear to be increasing over this time last year.

Junes housing starts saw 21 Single Family homes go up compared to just 15 the previous year.

While Multi-Family units saw a big increase, as just 2 starts were recognized in 2014 compared to a whopping 42 this year.

Overall, the year to date single housing starts sit at 81, with only 53 last year. Meanwhile, Multi-Family homes have again seen a large jump as there has been 66 starts so far this year compared to just 5 in 2014.

It would appear that the increase in Multi-Family units has been the trend across BC, as very few regions saw a decline in that area.
