With a possibility of over 30 degrees hitting us this weekend and into next week, Northern Health would like to remind everyone to take precautions and keep cool.
Northern Healths Lead of Public Affairs Jonathan Dyck says a particular group of individuals is at the most risk:
“For young people and people over age 65, they are more vulnerable to heat related illness. So if you do know somebody that is in that range it is helpful to check regularly on them”
He advises everyone to drink plenty of fluids even if you are not thirsty, and to avoid cooking hot meals or using the oven during the hottest periods of the day.
Something going on in the Prince George area you think people should know about?
