Prince George is well represented at this year’s Canada Winter Games.
Nine athletes will be competing in five different sports over the course of the next month on Prince Edward Island.
This includes three highly touted Prince George hockey products, forwards Chase Harrington and Cameron Shmidt, and goalie Ryder Green.
Shmidt and Harrington were both first-round picks in this past WHL draft, Shmidt went 7th overall to Vancouver, Harrington was taken 8th by Spokane.
The Cougars might have felt a little cheated, they picked 9th.
Three athletes are also competing in judo – Lilly McCullogh, Hannah Yin and Alandra Steiger.
Mason Pollard will compete in archery.
Logan Cox is cross-country skiing.
Joel Ewert is on the wheelchair basketball team.
