With the game 36-28 at halftime, UNBC came out like gangbusters in the third quarter deflating any chance of a TRU come back for a second straight evening.
Sveta Boykova had another monster game on the glass for the Timberwolves (7-11) posting a 20 point, 14-rebound effort.
Fellow graduating players, Olivia Wilson and Jenna Korolek had 13 and 5 points respectively.
The paint was also a friend for the T-Wolves outsourcing the Wolfpack in the trenches 48-22.
Megan Roualt and Kelsey Cruz posted a team-high 13 points each for TRU in defeat.
A night earlier, Thompson Rivers edged UNBC 62-58 on Friday evening.
The Wolfpack was 9-for-29 from three-point range while the Timberwolves were an ice-cold 1-for-15.
Makeba Taylor posted a game-high 18 points for the visitors (2-16).
Laura Garmendia Garcia had an efficient game in a losing cause for UNBC posting 16 points in 24 minutes of action.
In men’s action, the Timberwolves completed a much-needed sweep over the Wolfpack winning 87-73 on Friday and an 83-75 decision Saturday.
Freshman Justin Sunga was impressive during the double-header recording 17 points and 7 rebounds.
Spencer Ledoux, Fareed Shittu, Evgeni Baukin, and Darren Hunter also had double-digit outings for UNBC.
Asher Mayan, Daniel Bost, and Denys Bachurin all had 14 points each for the Wolfpack in a losing weekend.
On Saturday, Sunga and Chris Ross lead the way offensively for the Timberwolves with 20 points each.
UNBC converted just under 53% of its field goals (30-for-57). Micha Jessie returned to his early season form going 7-for-10 with points.
For the second straight night, Mayan led Thompson Rivers in points with 17 (5-13).
The Timberwolves men improve to 8-10. Both UNBC varsity teams are in Brandon this weekend to take on the Bobcats Friday and Saturday.
