Northern BC’s fruit winery preparing for grand opening

Prepare your corkscrews and whip out the wine glasses, because the first and only winery in Northern BC is getting ready to open its doors.

Operating partner of Northern Lights Estates, Doug Bell – says the Winery is one to two weeks from its grand opening, and spoke about why he chose to be a part of the project:

“People sometimes ask why we decided to build the Winery on the river, and I said well why the heck not? I spent quite a few nights on the side of the river having a fire, never necessarily with a glass of wine; But I said well why cant you do that legally in Prince George?”

The Winery is situated 5 minutes from town, overlooking the Nechako River and Downtown Prince George. It includes wine tasting, wine making, an event amphitheater, and will soon feature a restaurant in 2016.
