Open Burning restrictions have been lifted in the Prince George Fire Centre.
Fire Information Officer Jill Kelsh explains:
“Due to cooler temperatures and precipitation in the Prince George Fire Centre we have lowered the Wildfire risk, therefore allowing us to lift the prohibition.”
It all comes into effect this Thursday at noon.
Kelsh still reminds the public to take extreme care while burning. Ensuring that enough manpower, tools, and water are on hand to control a fire, and to also take care NOT to burn during windy conditions.
