Environment Canada’s Special Air Quality Statement has ended.

Prince George is once again under a Special Air Quality Advisory.
The advisory was issued jointly by Environment Canada and Northern Health.
According to Environment Canada, there are high concentrations of fine particulate matter that are expected to persist until weather conditions change.
As a result, the City of Prince George’s Clean Air Bylaw prohibits all open burning.
Furthermore, exposure is particularly a concern for individuals with chronic conditions and respiratory infections especially for pregnant women, infants, and older adults.
