Construction Association raising funds for BC high school renovations

The BC construction association has been doing something unique for high schools over the past year.

Since 2014, they have been accepting donations that would then provide upgrades to shop classes in BC High Schools.

Vice President Abigail Fulton says the “Project Shop Class” project aims to renovate shop classes that are lagging behind:

“Well the last time that shop classes in BC high schools were given a re-fit – a significant re-fit – was in the 1960’s. As you can imagine construction practices and tools have changed over the years”

Fulton says the donation goal for the North was around $2 million dollars and says they are nearing that goal.

Anyone willing to donate can visit projectshopclass.com and donate to a high school of their choice.
