Prince George will be hosting an hour of the Art Hawkins great Canadian Ultimate Game on Friday at Spruceland school fields.
From 6 to 7 pm members of the public are encouraged to come out with a red or white shirt, and perhaps a donation for the charity event which has been running since 2010.
Prince George Organizing Executive Gren Jonuk says the hour long sessions start in St.Johns, Newfoundland and will sweep west across Canada:
“… then its interesting, for the first time ever it’s in three spots in ex-patriot communities across the globe. So there will be three hours, one hour in Dubai, another hour in Phnom Penh and another in Dublin”
Jonuk says the score from each game is passed on to each city taking part, and the game will then continue where it left off.
All donations received will be going to the Art Hawkins Development fund, which supports the development of Ultimate Frisbee and the spirit of the game in Canada.
